Open play · for court venues

Sell spots, not just courts

Players join a session on their own or with friends and pay per person. On game day they check in, wait in line and rotate through games. GoSmash runs the sign-ups, the waitlist and the line, so your staff just say "you're up."

For courts only. Ball machine venues don't see it. GoSmash Pro plan.

12 players, 1 court, everyone rotates. After every game the 4 on court go to the end of the line and the next 4 go on.
How it works

Two sides of the same session

For players

Join, pay, check in, play

  1. Pick a session on the venue page (Open play tab) or ask in the chat. Each one shows the level, the price per player and how many spots are left.
  2. Join and pay for yourself or up to 3 friends: pay online or by QR and upload the receipt. Full? Join the waitlist. If a spot opens, you get an email and a short hold to pay.
  3. Check in at the desk when you arrive. You join the line in the order you check in.
  4. Watch your place on your phone ("You're #6") or on the TV. When you're up, play your game, then go back in line.
For your venue

Make it once, then let it run

  1. Make a session: courts, time, level, players and price. Repeat it weekly. Its courts are blocked for normal bookings, and clashes are caught before you save.
  2. Sign-ups run themselves: holds, payments, receipts to approve, the waitlist and the emails. You see who's in, who paid and who's waiting.
  3. Check players in on your phone as they arrive. Walk-ins are added in a tap.
  4. Start the live queue: "Next 4 on" fills a court and "Game done" moves players by your format's rules (timed rounds use one "Next round" button for every court), and the TV board shows everyone who's playing and who's next.
Rotation

The formats PH players already know

Pick one per session. The line, the TV and every player's phone follow it.

Everyone rotates

"4 on, 4 off": after each game all four go to the end of the line. The fairest when it's busy.

Winners stay

The winning pair stays on (up to 2 games in a row, you choose), the next 2 in line play them.

Timed rounds

Tennis social doubles: rounds of 25 to 35 minutes, then "Next round" reshuffles partners on every court at once.

Game day

A TV board that answers "am I next?"

Open your venue's board on any TV or tablet: every court with who's playing and the game timer, the next four in line, and everyone waiting. It updates by itself, and players see their own place on their phone.

Questions

Open play, answered

Do players need an account?

No. They join with their name, mobile number and email, like a booking, and get a private link to pay, check their place on the waitlist and cancel.

What if someone doesn't pay?

Their spot is only held for your usual payment window. Then it's released and offered to the first person on the waitlist, who gets a short hold to pay.

Can the courts still be rented?

Not during a session: its courts are blocked, so nobody double-books them. Before and after, they rent as usual. Sessions show on your schedule as one card.

Ball machine venue?

Open play is for courts, so it stays hidden for ball machines. A venue with both turns it on for its courts only.
